Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it and what rights you can exercise, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data controller

The data controller is Giulio Cappella, tourist guide based in Matera (Basilicata, Italy), VAT no. IT01363490770. For any question regarding your personal data you can write to giuliocap@hotmail.it.

Data we process

We only process the data you voluntarily provide when you contact us or book a tour: your name, phone number, email address, the content of the messages you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the booking details (chosen tour, date and number of participants). We carry out no profiling.

Purposes and legal basis

Data is processed to answer your requests, manage bookings and provide the guided tour service. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures and of the contract you requested (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, for simple information requests, our legitimate interest in replying to you (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Payments

Online payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., which acts as an independent data controller for payment data (card and billing details). Such data never passes through us nor is stored by us. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy.

Retention period

We keep contact and booking data for as long as necessary to manage the request and to comply with legal obligations, in particular tax and accounting ones (up to 10 years). Messages containing simple information requests are kept only for the time strictly needed to reply.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, request its rectification or erasure, restrict or object to its processing and request its portability, by writing to giuliocap@hotmail.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
