Cave houses
Dwellings carved into the rock, where for centuries people lived alongside their animals: stepping inside means breathing in the peasant culture of the Sassi.
Rupestrian churches

Underground cisterns

Tour times
Morning tours
Departure around 10:00 / 10:30, as the stone warms in the first sun. Any changes are communicated in advance.
Afternoon tours
Departure between 4:30 and 5:00 pm, when the light turns golden. The time may vary slightly with the season.
Evening tours
Through the Sassi districts at sunset and after dark, when the lights come on one by one and the city seems to hold its breath.
